Psalm 57

"Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me, for in you my soul takes refuge; in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge, til the storms of destruction pass by.

I cry out to God Most HIgh, to God who fulfills his purpose for me. He will send from heaven and save me; he will put to shame him who tramples on me. God will send out his steadfast love and his faithfulness!

My soul is in the midst of lions; I lie down amidst fiery beasts- the children of man, whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords.

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth!

They set a net for my steps; my soul was bowed down. They dug a pit in my way, but they have fallen into it themselves.

My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast! I will sing and made melody! Awake, my glory! Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awake the dawn! I will give thanks to you, O LOrd, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations. For your steadfast love is great to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth!

~Psalm 57~

This psalm really blessed my socks off this morning. Our Father is there for us to take refuge in. He is ready to extend His mercy and take us into his wings.

"God will send out his steadfast love and his faithfulness". That is how good our God is. Nomatter what we've done, what we've though, where we've been. His love is steadfast, He is faithful!

Even when we're down, when we feel like the lions are devouring us, even then, He is there. If only our hearts would be steadfast. If only we would be completely His, 100%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone!
I bet ya'll think I'm dead!!!!!
Well, I'm not. But my internet is. We haven't had any internet on the ranch for a week now :(
The Week before I was in Creel, Chihuahua on a mini vacation. I didn't have any interent there either :(

So, I'm in town right now stealing some Wi-Fi.

My time in Creel was so blessed. The train ride was breathtaking. I spent most of my time outside taking in the view. The train ride is full of huge bridges, gorges, waterfalls, and tunnels. Amazing. Better than that, the Lord really annointed the time. On the way there Ana and I got a chance to share the gospel with a young man named Jose. The 4 days we were there was filled with lots of sightseeing, good food, and cool new people. We stayed in a quaint little bed and breakfast with people from all diferent countries and walks of life. We were able to share the gospel with several people staying at our B&B. We saw La Mision de San Ignacio, Valle de los Ongos, Valle de las Ranas, la cascada de Casarare, and Las Barancas del Cobre. In addition we drove several hours to see the Memonite community as well. The largest community in Mexico, I think there's 40,000 in the community right now. So, it was definately a blessed time. Restful, exciting, and fruitful. I cannot wait to return. I fell in love with the town. When our internet is back up at the ranch I will upload some pictures.

This week since I got back has been quite busy of course. Steve Nauert (the fish man) was here from CA the beginning of the week. Steve in the one in charge of the hydroponics project. He brought us a bunch of equipment.

Jo and Jerry left this morning, their presence on the ranch will be sadly missed.
Paul and Pam will also be leaving in June. We are very sad about that. I'm sure the Lord will use them wherever they may be though. With that said I won't have anybody to translate biblestudies for for a while. That means kid duty. We're working on revitalizing and reworking our childrens ministry. Please keep that in your prayers. Kids are empty vessels waiting to be taught.

The bibelstudies have been overflowing lately. Especially tuesday nights in Tesia. We're going to be buying more chairs this week because we don't have enough seats!!!!!
Sunday mornings in Colonia Sonora have been really full as well. Praise the Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, well I've got to go. Please pray that we will get our internet situation fixed.
I covet your prayers!

No Internet

Hello everyone.
I just wanted to let you know that I have NO INTERNET. Everyone at the ranch is disconnected right now. We're having some major malfunctions. So, I'm in time right now stealing some wi-fi. Unfortunately I can't update right now but I wanted to let ya'll know that I'm alive and well. Well, well with a cold, hahahahaha. How you can get a cold when it's 100 degrees out I don't have a clue!
Anyway I love you all and am so thankful for your prayers.
Stay strong in the Lord and shine for Him.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm Not Dead

I'm sorry everyone. I'm sure ya'll thought I was dead. Maybe, atleast I hope you were a bit concerned. Anyway, I wasn't dead, just mostly dead. There's a big diference between the two. Actually I was sick. It felt like a conbination of the flu and food poisoning all at the same time. In two little words, NOT FUN. I praise the Lord and thank my sweet Jesus that He has healed me though. I was very,, very miserable. But thankfully, as of yesterday, I'm back and I'm kicking :) Watch out world, here I come.

Not much to report on this week since I was sick. I spent alot of time in bed and in the bathroom. I did make it to most of the studies though, amazingly. I think the only two I missed were the ones on Thursday. In Osobompo on Tuesday Jose shared with us again. It's a blessing to have her willing to share. The Lord is really stretching her, growing her, and using her as an example to the rest of the ladies. I'm so thankful.

Last Sunday being the first Sunday of the month we had communion, which means food and fellowship!!! It was such a blessing. We had several new people. Plus a young man named Carlos gave his life to the Lord. Please pray for Carlos. As I have news on him I'll share it with you.

This week has also been filled with alot of discouragement. Why? I'm not sure. I think some of it can be contributed to my yucky sickness but it was obviously spiritual as well. But don't we know, our Lord is FAITHFUL. He's always there. Just waiting for us to give up and give in to Him. He's standing there waiting for us to take His hand so He can pick us up and dust us off. He's also there to carry us if we can't go on anylonger. How lucky we are to serve such an awesome, mighty, powerful, faithful, loving, and unchanging Father. He never ceases to amaze me and amazingly He never ceases either :)

Here are some of the verses that the Lord used to 'cheer me up'.

"Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform your vows to the Most High, and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me". ps 50:14-15
The Lord doesn't desire some supreme, all consuming sacrifice. He desires our thanks. Our hands raised, our hearts thankful. That's what He wants from us. Some some superhero christian.

"Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of salvation, and uphold me with a willing Spirit." psalm 51:10-13
Renew a right Spirit. When our spirits are distracted, bruised, dry, He is there to restore them. Restore them so that they are reflecting Him, His light. "Restore the joy of your salvation", as christians we should be running around with a corny smile on our faces. Ok, maybe not but honestly.... Shouldn't we be joyful???????? Do we not have salvation? Do we not have eternal life? What is there not to be happy about???? Our problems are not going to last. Our sin has been conquered. Death itself has been conquered. We have a GOd who is also our Father, Friend, and Savior.

So to say the least, I'm no longer discouraged. God is always ready to boast a little, except that in his case it's not really boasting. He's always ready to show us His attributes, all of which are good. Always ready to prove His love and His faithfulness. Even though He's done more than we could have ever imagine He's still there to reassure us. Our Father loves us that much. So, let's walk around with smiles on our faces. Let's be filled with the joy of our salvation. The signs of His coming are many. We're getting ready to go home. The best part, there's no moving van to pack. I'm determined to live with all this in mind. I'm determined to share this, with whoever will listen. All I need is all of Him to replace all of me. It's a good thing I've got a big God.

Have a splendid Sunday everyone!
