List to do before leaving for MX:
(1) pack up my room
(2) decide how to fit a year's worth of stuff into 3 suitcases
(3)get a hair cut
(4) annoy my older brother every chance I get!
(5) Give everyone I see a hug (I'm really going to miss everybody)
(6) Do my taxes

Well the list goes on and on but those are some of my top priorities. Turns out that I didn't make enough money this year to require me to file taxes.... Pretty awesome huh??? They never took any money out so they're not giving any back... Not that I would have minded getting some back, or I guess it would be free money since I never gave it to them in the first place.......... OK, confusing :(

I also started packing up my room today. First project was to tackle the closet. Cate Gerwitz, I really could have used your help! I felt like those two brothers on the pbs show, Zaboomafoo. Everytime they opened the closet everything fell out right on top of them. Only diference is that I don't have bouncy balls and swimming gear in my closet.
Needless to say I threw away and organized to my heart's content!!!!!!!!!! I love cleaning, organizing, and throwing stuff away.
The organizing has been fun but it has also carried a bit of a somber note along with it. I'm going to miss everyone and everything here very much. I will admit that this may be a bit more challenging than I had thought it would be. Up until now I'd been thinking mostly what awaits me there, not what I'm leaving here. What awaits me in MX is so exciting. I cannot wait to see all my friends and family there, and to get involved in the ministry . But, on the other hand I do not want to leave my wonderful friends and family here in Missouri. The Lord has truly blessed me with an amazing group of people. People of every shape and kind, people that love the Lord, people that are like family to me.
So, that was a huge compliment to all you Missourians!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love you guys :)

Tomorrow is Sunday. Sunday means friends, worship, church, fellowship, and FOOD!!!!!! Hurray for Sundays!

a little Info!

Hello Everyone!

As most of you know already I will be returning to Mexico on March 15th.
Since I was quite young I have had the desire to serve the Lord through missions. I feel that He has called me to serve at Rancho Maranatha, along with Pastor Dan, his wife Ana, and the other wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ there as well. Rancho Maranatha has been my home in many ways even since my family left there on 2005. After returning last year for several months I feel that it is where the Lord would have me serve for now.

Rancho Maranatha is in Alamos, Sonora, MX. About 400 miles south of the border. Pastor Dan has owned the ranch for about as long as I've been alive. He, his family, and other missionaries living there have been involved in many ministries through the years. Along with the children's home there are food ministries, constant construction projects, bible studies daily in the villages, a radio station, and a pluthora of other things. Due to circumstances the radio station and childrens home are no longer running, but the rest of the work continues.

I will be joining the team at Rancho Maranatha next month. This announcement brings me much joy and is one that I have awaited with much anticipation to announce. I will be sending email updates and also updating the blog.

I plan to stay at the ranch for around a year to start off with. My heart right now wants to stay forever but I am open to the Lord's leading. If the Lord keeps me there I will be blessed. If he brings me back to the US I will be content as well.

GO! ministries has blessed me by accepting my application to their ministry. GO! handles finances for missionaries in many, many countries, and on every continent (except maybe Antarctica).
Not only do they handle missionaries' personal taxes but they also make it so that all donations to the missionary are tax decuctable. Dan and Ana are with GO! ministries. My parents were also when they were on the mission field.

If anyone feels led to support me financially checks can be made out to GO! Ministries.
In the memo please put only my account number, 1277. Checks may be sent to:
GO! Ministries
P.O. Box 657 Norco, CA
92860

After receiving your donation GO! will send you a tax deductable receipt.

Above all else, friends and family, I covet your prayers! My desire is to serve the Lord and further His kingdom. I am blessed with the opportunity to participate and contribute to the ministry at Rancho Maranatha.
If you have any questions please let me know!

Serving the Lord at Rancho Maranatha,
Chelsea Rae

Hebrews 11

Just a few thoughts :).....................................

"Therefore from one man and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude- inumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.".(vs12)
Am I as good as dead?

"These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but seeing them afar off, were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on earth". (vs 13)
Do we cofess that we are pilgrims? Do we everyday, with our every action and word delcare ourselves pilgrims?

"For these who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland". (vs14)
Let us seek a homeland that is incorruptable!

"And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has preapred a city for them". (vs 15-16)
We can always go back. Do not be fooled into thinking you will never return to living in sin. It is a day to da choice. our flesh will never leave us this side of heaven.
Let God not be ashamed of us.

If you get a chance read the whole chapter. It is very convicting and encouraging, totally blessed my socks off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 2nd pic is of Olive and I on Valentine's Day. I thought this one was funny and you'd all get a good laugh out of it......
That's all for now. Stay tuned: same place, same time, next week ( maybe sooner than next week).

Long Time NO Chat

Hello there everyone!

So I set up this blog months ago but I never told any of ya'll about it or updated it.... I beg your forgiveness.
I'm going to try to make it a habit this time around.

I am currently in Nashville, TN. I arrived on the 25th of January and have been having the time of my life since. Staying with my cousin, Megan, and her family has been alot of fun. Baby Max is 16 days old today. His sister, Olive, has stolen my heart. She is 18 months old and as full of energy as it comes. Currently her favorite song is "The Wheels On the Bus". I sing it multiple times a day, including when I'm in the shower and sometimes in my sleep. I will be here until next Monday, the 22nd. Watch out Missouri, here I come!

Yesterday after church I came to the Ray house for a visit. I'm spending two whole nights with them!It has been a joy to see Brian, Rochelle, Jesse, and Levi. The boys are growing up so fast.

Just a heads up for ya'll, on March 15th I will be returning to Rancho Maranatha. I am so very excited to be returning to my dear family in Mexico. I am super excited to see all that the Lord will have for me at the ranch. My mother and several friends are already planning trips to come visit!

Ok everybody, really I'm going to try to keep updating this. Please don't hold your breathe though!
